A recall has been issued for INMO AIR3 Smart Glasses in Canada and the United States due to a potential burn hazard. The recall was announced by Health Canada and is a joint effort with the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission and INMO International Technology Limited.
The smart glasses, which are AI-powered, can overheat on the left side during prolonged use, posing a burn risk to users. Although no injuries have been reported in Canada, there have been 10 incidents of overheating in the United States as of September 17.
The affected glasses were sold online through Amazon, Kickstarter, and the company's website, inmoxr.com, between December 2025 and August 2026, with prices ranging from $900 to $1,300. A total of 120 units were sold in Canada and 1,643 in the United States.
Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled product immediately and update the firmware to version 3.16 before reuse. The company is also asking owners to provide proof of purchase and a photo of the affected item to receive further instructions.
The recall is in accordance with the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act, which prohibits the redistribution, sale, or giveaway of recalled products in Canada. Consumers can report any incidents related to the product by filling out a Consumer Product Incident Report Form.
