What happened
A group of Arab peace activists from the Middle East and North Africa were deeply disturbed after viewing a 47-minute video compilation of Hamas's October 7 atrocities during a screening at the Israeli consulate in Boston, Massachusetts.
The video showed over 120 bodies, including children, and featured videos of beheadings, houses and people set on fire, and unarmed people shot at point-blank range. The footage has been described as horrific and barbaric, with some of the activists stating that it was worse than anything they had seen before, including the actions of ISIS.
The activists, who are part of a delegation advocating for peace under the organization Sharaka, were visibly shaken by the video, with many crying and one man having to leave the room. They expressed frustration that Hamas denies the atrocities and stated that they will continue to advocate for peace and against Hamas.
The screening was part of a trip to the United States, where the activists are meeting with American leaders to promote peace in the Middle East. The organization Sharaka was founded after the Abraham Accords and aims to promote peace and understanding between different cultures and religions.
