What happened
Pastors Carlos Erazo and Jonathan Pokluda discussed New Age practices that Christians may view as harmless but can lead to spiritual danger. They identified eight ways Christians may unknowingly open themselves to demonic forces, including the use of Ouija boards, crystals, manifesting, tarot cards, and horoscopes.
Pokluda warned that Ouija boards, in particular, can be spiritually dangerous, even if they seem like a harmless game. He noted that people often use these boards to seek comfort, such as contacting deceased loved ones, but may end up communicating with demons instead.
Erazo shared a personal story about experiencing conviction to leave a performance that contained elements of spirituality, but lingering anyway. He and his wife later had vivid, disturbing dreams, which they believed were a result of giving the enemy space.
The pastors emphasized that these practices are not spiritually neutral and can give Satan and demons permission to interfere in one's life. They encouraged Christians to be cautious and discerning when engaging with cultural fads and practices that may seem harmless on the surface.
