Finland is set to showcase its commitment to a low-emission economy at the COP31 conference, with the Finland Pavilion introducing solutions developed by Finnish companies.

What happened

The pavilion will feature solutions concerning electrification, clean energy, and a circular economy, as well as experiences of how these have been taken to international markets. Main partners include Neste and Outokumpu, with other contributors such as Coolbrook, FCDC, and the University of Helsinki.

The programme will include events organised by civil society organisations and public authorities, with topics such as AI and data centres, climate risks, and energy security. Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Ville Tavio will open the Finland Pavilion on Tuesday, 10 November.

According to Minister of Climate and the Environment Sari Multala, ambitious climate actions, economic growth, and wellbeing go hand in hand, and the Finland Pavilion will demonstrate how close cooperation between businesses, research, and the public sector can turn ideas into solutions.
