A former Muslim, Danny Burmawi, shared his views on Islam with Glenn Beck, leaving him stunned. Burmawi explained that Islam is not just a religion, but a state with its own constitution, known as Sharia, and a population of Muslims. He emphasized that Muslims are not similar to Christians, but rather to citizens of a country, such as Americans.
Burmawi warned that a small percentage of Muslims, approximately 1% of the 5-6 million Muslims in America, could be faithful to the teachings of Muhammad and willing to carry out extremist actions. He estimated that this could translate to around 50,000 people, which he referred to as ISIS terrorists living in America.
Glenn Beck expressed concern that many people are unaware of the potential threat posed by extremist Muslims and are not willing to speak out against it. Burmawi noted that the majority of Muslims do not adhere to extremist beliefs, but rather experience cognitive dissonance due to the contradictions between their beliefs and reality.
