France is preparing for another weekend of protests, following violent clashes on the sidelines of last week's demonstrations.
What happened
The city of Paris has extended a partial curfew in certain areas until Monday. Additionally, protests have been banned altogether in the cities of Marseille and Lyon. To maintain order, 70,000 security personnel will be deployed on Saturday, with only union demonstrations being authorized.
The move comes after violence erupted during last week's protests, prompting authorities to take stricter measures to prevent further unrest.
