A professor at Haverford College in Pennsylvania has been arrested and charged with cyberstalking for allegedly harassing and intimidating a colleague using anonymous social media accounts.
According to court documents, the professor, Guangtian Ha, made antisemitic threats against the colleague and their family, including publishing their home address and threatening their infant child.
Ha allegedly used multiple anonymous accounts to post over 50 replies to the colleague between October 2025 and May 2026, often targeting their Jewish identity.
The colleague increased security at home and limited their children's activities due to the escalating harassment.
Ha has been charged with one count of cyberstalking and faces up to five years in prison, three years of supervised release, and a $250,000 fine.
Haverford College President Wendy Raymond condemned the allegations, stating that harassment and discrimination have no place at the college.
Ha has been placed on administrative leave and barred from campus during the investigation.
