What happened
A face-to-face confrontation occurred between House investigators and the CIA over disputed records related to JFK and MK-Ultra secrets.
A whistleblower, CIA senior operations officer James Erdman III, testified before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, revealing explosive information about the agency's handling of COVID-19 origins and UFO investigations.
Erdman alleged that the CIA illegally monitored the computer and phone usage of personnel involved in these investigations and took back 40 boxes of files being processed for declassification.
Following the testimony, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna and Rep. Eric Burlison were invited to CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia, where they met with the agency's archivist to discuss the disputed records.
The CIA claimed that it did not take back documents and that the files were being processed for declassification, but the representatives remained skeptical.
Two and a half months later, it was reported that the CIA had located the files and placed them in line for declassification.
