What happened

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has killed two commanders of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad's rocket array in the Gaza Strip. The two men, Ahmed Mahmoud Harb Ramlawi and Munir Ibrahim Masr, were targeted in separate strikes in Gaza City. According to the IDF, the two men had been involved in restoring the Palestinian Islamic Jihad's capabilities in violation of the ceasefire agreement. The IDF also reported that it had killed a Hamas sniper, Tamer Hamaida, in a strike in the Khan Yunis area of southern Gaza, who had planned to carry out attacks against Israeli troops and civilians.

In a separate incident, the IDF and the Israeli Security Agency (Shin Bet) killed a top Hamas terrorist, Izz al-Din Bikh, who had commanded the captivity of numerous Israeli hostages during the war. Bikh had also participated in the October 7, 2023, massacre and helped establish Hamas's elite Nukhba Force in northern Gaza.

The IDF has vowed to continue pursuing terrorists who participated in the October 7 massacre. Additionally, reports have emerged that the IDF attempted to kill Ali al-Amoudi, a senior Hamas leader and potential successor to Yahya Sinwar, in an airstrike.
