Iran is building a secret nuclear fortress beneath a solid granite mountain, according to recent satellite images.
What happened
The construction of the fortress, known as the 'Pickaxe' complex, is reportedly designed to protect Iran's nuclear centrifuges from potential US bombing attacks.
The complex is said to be buried up to 100 meters beneath the mountain, making it potentially resistant to even the most powerful bunker-busting bombs.
Experts warn that the construction of this fortress could pose a significant challenge to the US and its allies, as it may be difficult to destroy the nuclear centrifuges housed within.
