What happened
Israeli police arrested 10 individuals suspected of participating in recent violent attacks on Palestinians, a US journalist, and European diplomats in the West Bank.
The arrests were made in a pre-dawn raid, with police seizing items linking the suspects to the alleged offenses and confiscating several vehicles.
The arrests come after a series of reported attacks by Israeli settlers on Palestinians, including an incident on Friday where several Palestinians and a US photojournalist were injured.
US officials, including Ambassador Mike Huckabee and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, have condemned the attacks and called on Israel to crack down on the violence.
Despite the arrests, new attacks on Palestinians by Israeli settlers were reported on Monday, with two Palestinians injured in the villages of Turmus Ayya and Deir Abu Mash'al.
Violence by Israeli settlers targeting Palestinians in the West Bank has surged in recent years, with the United Nations reporting an increase in attacks since 2022.
