What happened
Israel marked the third anniversary of the October 7th Hamas massacre, lowering flags to half-staff in a solemn ceremony. The attack, which occurred in 2023, resulted in the deaths of 1,200 people and the taking of 251 hostages.
At the ceremony, Israeli leaders remembered the victims and called for action against those responsible. President Isaac Herzog laid a wreath and urged a full investigation into the failures that allowed the attack. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to complete tasks still ahead, including eliminating Hamas rule in Gaza and bringing those involved in the attack to justice.
Defense Minister Israel Katz reported that about 6,000 terrorists crossed into Israel on October 7th, and the Israel Defense Forces have since killed 4,000 of them. He warned that the IDF intends to eliminate the remaining 2,000.
In a separate development, thousands of Christians are planning to gather at Jerusalem's Western Wall for a large prayer event, organized by Friends of Zion Founder Mike Evans. The event, which will involve over five million people from 125 nations, aims to show support for the Jewish people and fight against principalities and powers.
Meanwhile, President Trump explained his decision to move a dozen B-1 Bombers out of a British air base due to a credible threat of an Iranian drone attack. He stated that the threat was linked to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and aimed at destroying U.S. aircraft and killing American personnel.
