What happened
Muslim leftist Michigan U.S. Senate candidate Abdulrahman El-Sayed stated that both Israel and Iran have proven to be dangerous in their own ways during a debate on Thursday.
El-Sayed was asked to compare the threat posed by Israel and Iran to the United States, but he deemed the question a ridiculous hypothetical. He expressed concerns about being drawn into unnecessary wars and emphasized the need to prioritize domestic spending on schools, healthcare, and childcare.
When pressed for a direct answer, El-Sayed reiterated that both countries have demonstrated dangerous behavior, with one risking attacks on the US and the other potentially drawing the US into unnecessary conflicts.
El-Sayed also addressed a hypothetical scenario in which Israel is attacked by Iran or another state actor, and he was asked if he would vote to provide defensive weaponry to Israel. He did not provide a clear yes or no answer but indicated that he does not support using tax dollars to buy weapons for other countries, instead prioritizing domestic spending.
