A missile attack on Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport has resulted in the deaths of 12 people and injured hundreds. The attack, blamed on Iran-backed Houthi rebels, occurred on Saturday and has led to the shutdown of airport operations.
According to reports, the missile struck a complex housing terminals 3 and 4, which are used for domestic flights. The victims include citizens from several countries, including Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Palestine, the US, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, and Sudan.
The US government has warned its citizens to avoid the airport, and one US citizen was among those killed in the attack. The injured are being treated at several hospitals, with some in critical condition.
The attack is considered the deadliest in a Gulf Arab country since the start of the Iran war, and it has led to a surge in fighting between Houthi rebels and Saudi-backed Yemeni government forces.
