MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace has strongly condemned the potential disruption of Ukraine's access to a military-grade version of Starlink, a satellite internet constellation.
What happened
During a broadcast of MSNBC's Deadline, Wallace discussed the current status of Starlink in Ukraine with Senator Chris Coons. Coons stated that according to a post by Ukrainian President Zelensky, functionality had been largely restored after a conversation with Secretary Rubio.
Wallace expressed concern over the fact that the system's functionality can be controlled by individuals such as Elon Musk or those in the White House. She described it as unthinkable for normal, non-sociopathic individuals to consider pulling down a shield that protects the lives of civilians in an American ally.
Coons agreed, stating that such actions would weaken the US on the world stage. Wallace questioned what it says about America's standing in the world if someone were to deliberately leave Ukraine vulnerable to Russian missile strikes.
