A passenger terminal at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh was attacked, killing one person and injuring others, a day after a deadly strike killed 13 people.

Saudi Arabia's King Khalid International Airport was attacked again on Sunday, resulting in the death of one person and injuring others.

What happened

The attack on the passenger terminal at the international airport in Riyadh occurred a day after a deadly strike on the same airport killed 13 people, including a U.S. citizen, and wounded hundreds of others.

The Houthi group claimed responsibility for the attacks, stating they were in response to Saudi Arabia's aggression against their country and people. The group's military spokesman, Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree, said the attacks targeted several locations, including the Shugadam gas facility and the Tanajib oil refinery.

The airport has been closed since Saturday's missile attack, which was the deadliest in a Gulf Arab nation in over a decade. The attack drew condemnation from world leaders, including the United Nations and President Trump.

The Saudi civil aviation authority confirmed the strike on King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, and countries including the U.S., Britain, Germany, Australia, and Canada warned citizens to avoid the airport.
