Russia has constructed a massive radar system in Kaliningrad, a heavily militarized Baltic enclave near the Polish and Lithuanian borders.
The system, reportedly an over-the-horizon radar, has the ability to detect aircraft, missiles, and naval vessels at very long ranges, potentially up to 2,000 miles away.
Satellite images reveal the radar's location in the town of Gvardeysk, Kaliningrad, with three radiating arms of antenna masts, each roughly 500 meters long.
This development comes after the Russian embassy in London warned the West of nuclear war if it attacks Kaliningrad, which has been touted as a possible launch location for the Kremlin's nuclear missiles.
