Southwest US Faces Flash Flood Threat
Charisma News

Nearly 10 million people in the Southwest US are at risk of flash flooding due to heavy rain in Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and Colorado.

What happened

Nearly 10 million people across the Southwest United States are at risk of flash flooding due to heavy rain in Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and parts of Colorado.

In Tucson, firefighters responded to three swift-water emergencies in 25 minutes, rescuing drivers from rushing water. Two people were taken to hospitals after being rescued.

The National Weather Service has warned of heavy rain and possible flooding across the Four Corners region, with AccuWeather forecasting 2 to 4 inches of rain for Phoenix and Tucson before Friday.

Emergency responders are urging drivers to exercise caution and never enter a flooded roadway, as most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
