President Donald Trump spoke at a rally in Kalispell, Montana, where he addressed his stance on gun rights.
What happened
Trump claimed to have ended President Joe Biden's 'war on guns', which included a 'zero tolerance policy' that put firearm dealers out of business for minor paperwork errors. He also mentioned that this policy led to the restriction of ammunition sales.
Additionally, Trump highlighted a recent rule change by the Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, which eliminates federal registration requirements for certain firearms accessories, such as suppressors and short-barreled rifles and shotguns.
Trump assured the audience that he would continue to defend the right to keep and bear arms, and that law-abiding Americans can now purchase these items without registering them with the federal government.
