What happened
UK police arrested multiple suspects under the Explosives Act near a US airbase in southwest England. The arrests took place close to RAF Fairford, which has been used by the US in operations related to the war in Iran. Several properties were evacuated in the Whelford area after the declaration of a major incident.
The Army's specialist explosive ordnance disposal team examined a number of vehicles. Authorities did not release the names of the suspects or the exact number of arrests. The incident is being investigated, with the British Prime Minister and Defense Secretary commenting on the situation.
The US President also responded to the news, stating that the arrest was a result of cooperation between the US and Britain. The President claimed that the suspects were under investigation for a long time and were planning to cause significant damage.
