What happened
The UK has experienced a number of terrorist attacks and violent crimes carried out by the children of immigrants. Notable examples include the 2005 London Tube bombings, the 2017 Manchester Arena attack, and the 2024 murder of three girls in Southport. These incidents have raised concerns about the integration of immigrants into British society.
Despite having a lower homicide rate than the US, the UK has seen a higher rate of violent crime committed by second-generation immigrants. This has led to questions about the effectiveness of the UK's integration policies and the role of British culture in facilitating or hindering the integration process.
According to some observers, the UK's intellectual elites are self-loathing and have created a culture that makes it difficult for immigrants to integrate. This is reflected in the fact that flying the national flag is seen as subversive and that there is a lack of patriotic and self-confident culture in the UK.
In contrast, the US is seen as having a more patriotic and self-confident culture, which helps to facilitate the integration of immigrants. However, there are concerns that the US is also experiencing a rise in Third Worldism, with some commentators noting that the country is adopting characteristics of Third World nations, such as authoritarianism and corruption.
