Ukraine has been targeting Russian oil refineries, terminals, and gas stations for months, resulting in fuel shortages in parts of Russia. The Russian government has extended its ban on fuel exports until the end of October, citing increased demand during the autumn harvest season.
The Ukrainian Defense Ministry reported that 51% of Russia's oil refining capacity is out of action, following recent strikes on refineries and processing plants in several cities.
