A call has been made for the West to form a unified military AI alliance, combining American computing power with Israeli battlefield intelligence. This alliance would be similar to NATO and would be led by the United States. The goal is to counter the growing AI capabilities of China and other adversaries.
Israel is seen as a key partner in this effort, due to its high-tech industry and experience in using AI in combat. The country has a large number of AI startups and a highly skilled workforce, with nearly 3,000 active AI firms in a population of only 10 million people.
The proposed alliance would pool computing power, model weights, and elite talent to create a strong defense against digital threats. It would also provide a unified deterrence against adversaries, warning them that digital strikes against allied targets would trigger collective retaliation.
The alliance would be structured around an Atlantic-Levantine AI Command, with Jerusalem as a founding military partner. Other key partners would include London, Tokyo, Canberra, and Ottawa. The command would set non-negotiable thresholds for frontier-weight theft and supply chain disruptions, and would be backed by genuine military resolve.
