The Trump Administration has launched America.gov, a new artificial intelligence tool designed to provide Americans with easy access to federal government services. The platform allows users to access 29,000 websites in one place, using AI to provide simple answers from official government sources. America.gov is free to use, does not include ads, and prioritizes user privacy.
Chief Design Officer of the United States, Joe Gebbia, demonstrated the website's capabilities, showcasing its ability to assist with tasks such as changing a married woman's maiden name. The platform aims to simplify tasks that would otherwise require navigating multiple agency websites and filling out numerous forms.
Additional features are set to be added to the website in 2027, enabling users to complete forms, track progress, and organize their information in one place. According to America.gov, the platform replaces the need to navigate complex websites, instead allowing users to ask questions and receive official answers instantly.
