What happened
Rep. Jim Jordan, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, criticized the radical left for their hostility towards the United States and Israel. He stated that the left hates two countries, America and Israel, out of nearly 200 countries in the world. Jordan made these comments on Fox News in response to backlash against New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, who attended a vigil for the victims of the Oct. 7 terror attack.
Jordan noted that America and Israel represent liberty, freedom, and a safe haven for Jewish people, which is anathema to the leftist worldview. He also pointed out that Mamdani, who mostly aligns with the radical left, is now under attack by his own base for showing sympathy to the Jewish people.
The lawmaker expressed concern that if the radical left continues to gain power, they will take the country in a direction similar to what has been seen in Europe, citing riots in France as an example. Jordan hopes that the American people will recognize the radicalism and make informed decisions in the upcoming midterm elections.
