Vice President JD Vance and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. spoke at the Make America Healthy Again summit in Washington, discussing the potential of artificial intelligence to provide second opinions and check the advice of health experts.
Kennedy stated that AI will enable patients to better understand their health records and even provide a second opinion if desired. He also claimed that AI has the capacity to free people from medical tyranny, such as mandated vaccines.
Vance agreed with Kennedy's opinions, noting that experts no longer have a monopoly on knowledge. The vice president also shared an example of how AI was used to develop a new treatment model for a woman with cancer.
The summit was hosted by the MAHA Center organization and featured several Trump administration officials, including Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins and Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin.
However, some grassroots activists in the MAHA movement have expressed feeling betrayed by the Trump administration's stance on certain health issues, and Democrats are now trying to woo over these disillusioned voters.
