The US has reached a deal with Russia to purchase large quantities of diesel fuel, according to President Trump. The agreement will see Russia supply over 300,000 tons of diesel fuel immediately, followed by an additional 500,000 tons in November and 1,000,000 tons thereafter. The Treasury Department has issued a general license allowing companies to buy or sell Russian diesel without fear of US sanctions.
