Word concerning historical monuments and statues

There is a trend right now removing statues throughout the United States due to their ties to slavery.

To some it represents history. To others it represents slavery.

The way I see it, rather the statue is in good faith or not, historical or offensive, rather justified to remove or not, the Bible is never wrong!

Is it possible the Lord is speaking something greater beyond Republican or Democratic? When Joshua was going into Canaan, the angel of the Lord appeared to him, and when Joshua asked the angel if he was for or against him the angel said “neither”. The Lord is sovereignly God and God alone.

“You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.” -Exodus 20:4

When we honor people and/or statues more than God we have committed idolatry. When we honor government more than God we are guilty of idolatry. When we honor our offensiveness more than God we are guilty of idolatry. If we have failed to do anything less than love the Lord our God we are guilty of idolatry.

God is simply revealing to both sides: man is simply man-a created being-no one thing or creature can compare to the infanant divinity of the one and only true lord God. If our eyes were upon Him no offense or past would compare to the love of Christ. If our eyes were upon Him no statue can ever compare to His honor and glory. Raise it up or take it down, nothing should be magnified more than Christ.

Regardless of which ever side you represent, God should ALWAYS be FIRST. THAT is worth defending and fighting for!
