The Gospel Symbol of the United States

The plaque at the base of the Statue of Liberty reads:

“Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore, Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

These words echo the very words of Jesus in the gospel message when Jesus said,

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”-Matthew 11:28-30

The United States was always meant to represent the kingdom of Christ and the gospel message. When Jesus stood in Jerusalem at the time of His entry and saw that Israel rejected Him Jesus spoke saying,

“Therefore I tell you, the Kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a nation that will produce its fruit”-Matthew 21:43

What a blessing and honor it is to be who we are and to be the instrument that has helped to reestablish the nation and sovereignty of Israel and the gospel message.

Though it may appear America’s light has gone dim our light has NOT gone out. There is still hope for those who will carry on the legacy of Jesus and His message!
