On the night of October 4, 2026, I had one of the most vivid prophetic dreams I have experienced. The setting was ordinary at first. I was on the phone with a longtime friend from high school, a strong Christian, during the evening hours when the major television networks normally begin their headline coverage.
As I looked toward the television, every major news network was focused on Jerusalem. Something massive had begun unfolding there. Several events were connected to the continuing Iran war, while other developments were also converging around the city.
Then the scene changed in a way I have never seen before in a dream. I saw the hand of God descend over Jerusalem. I saw only His hand. His pointer finger touched the city, and He began writing an inscription across Jerusalem itself. The writing appeared like a precise line of divine fire, visible from above.
As the inscription appeared, the news coverage intensified. Every network seemed fixed on Jerusalem. Then I could read the message written in fire:
PREPARE THE HARVEST.
That message continued through the night. It followed me from dream to dream. It sounded like a trumpet blast, an alarm, a victory shout, and a declaration that something had reached an appointed moment. In every dream that followed, I was telling people what I had seen.
The Writing on the Wall
The first biblical parallel that immediately came to mind was Daniel 5. During Belshazzar's feast, a hand appeared and wrote on the wall while Babylon's rulers were profaning vessels taken from the Temple in Jerusalem. Daniel interpreted the message as a declaration that Babylon had been weighed, judged, and brought to the end of its appointed rule.
The phrase "the writing on the wall" comes from that account. In my dream, the writing appeared over Jerusalem rather than Babylon, and the message was different. Yet the pattern was unmistakable. A divine hand wrote publicly at the moment when human events were reaching a decisive threshold.
The message I saw was not a sentence of Babylonian judgment. It was a command: Prepare the harvest. That points directly toward the work of God among people. Jesus said in Matthew 9:37, "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few." In John 4:35, He told His disciples to lift up their eyes and see that the fields were already white for harvest.
I believe the wording of the dream points toward an urgent final season of evangelism, repentance, awakening, and preparation before the prophetic events surrounding Jerusalem accelerate further.
Jerusalem at the Center
Zechariah 12 places Jerusalem at the center of a final international crisis. God says Jerusalem will become a cup of drunkenness to the surrounding peoples and a very heavy stone for the nations. The chapter then moves from military pressure against Jerusalem to divine intervention and spiritual awakening.
In Zechariah 12:9, the LORD declares that He will seek to destroy the nations that come against Jerusalem. Then Zechariah 12:10 says, "And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced."
That movement is vital. The conflict surrounding Jerusalem is followed by an outpouring of grace, recognition, mourning, and repentance. In the dream, Jerusalem was simultaneously the center of global news attention and the location where the message "Prepare the harvest" was written by the hand of God.

Joel, Acts, and the Outpouring Before the Day of the LORD
The same prophetic pattern appears in Joel 2 and Joel 3. Joel describes national crisis, repentance, the outpouring of the Spirit, signs in the heavens, the Day of the LORD, and the gathering of nations in connection with Jerusalem.
Joel 2:28 declares that God will pour out His Spirit on all flesh. Sons and daughters will prophesy, old men will dream dreams, and young men will see visions. Peter quoted this passage in Acts 2:17 when the Holy Spirit was poured out at Pentecost.
Peter's use of Joel establishes the prophetic pattern of Spirit outpouring and gospel witness. Joel's prophecy also reaches forward toward the Day of the LORD. I believe the dream's command to "Prepare the harvest" fits that same pattern. The Church has an assignment while the world is moving toward the events Scripture places around Jerusalem.
This connects directly with the prophetic sequence I recently explained in The Rapture: You're Asking the Wrong Question and with the timing research in I Just Found the Pattern Nobody Saw Coming: 5787 Feast of Trumpets.
Gog, Magog, Israel, and the Revelation of Jesus
Ezekiel 38 and Ezekiel 39 describe a massive northern coalition coming against Israel. God intervenes in a manner that reveals His holiness before Israel and the nations. Ezekiel 39 ends with language of restoration and the outpouring of God's Spirit upon the house of Israel.
When Ezekiel's war is read alongside Zechariah 12 and Joel 2 and 3, I believe a consistent prophetic picture emerges. Israel reaches a severe point of international pressure. God intervenes. Israel experiences spiritual awakening. Jerusalem becomes central to the nations. The Spirit is poured out. The world is pushed toward the final prophetic sequence described throughout Scripture.
This is why I have repeatedly connected the present Iran conflict with the road toward a much larger Middle Eastern and international confrontation. TOC has documented that framework in Iran Conflict Has Perfectly Set The Stage for WW3 Conditions, and We Are Not Prepared! and in the October 5, 2026 TOC news analysis Russia, Ukraine and Iran: The Economic Path Toward Wider War in TOC's Warnings.
The 144,000 and Israel's End Time Witness
Revelation 7 identifies 144,000 servants of God sealed from the tribes of Israel. Revelation 14 later shows the 144,000 with the Lamb on Mount Zion.
I believe the awakening described in Zechariah 12 belongs to the prophetic story that leads into Israel's end time witness. The 144,000 are not presented as a detached symbol with no relationship to Israel's spiritual restoration. They belong to the period when God is openly dealing with Israel, Jerusalem, and the nations in fulfillment of His prophetic Word.
The Third Temple and the Final Sequence
The dream also fits the larger sequence that leads toward the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple and the final events surrounding the return of Jesus. Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15, and 2 Thessalonians 2:4 each require a functioning sacred setting connected with sacrifice and the final desecration associated with the man of sin.
I have previously examined that development in Could the Third Jewish Temple Begin Construction in 2026? and One Major Problem Must Be Solved Before Temple Restoration.

Current News Context
The dream occurred while the Iran war remains an active part of the regional and international news cycle. On October 5, 2026, TOC's news system published continuing coverage involving Israel, Iran, Red Sea shipping, and security threats affecting Israel bound travel. These reports do not prove the dream. They establish the real world setting in which the dream occurred.

What I Believe the Dream Means
I believe the message carries several connected meanings at once.
First, the hand writing over Jerusalem points to an appointed threshold. Daniel 5 gives the biblical pattern of divine writing appearing when a kingdom had reached the end of its measured time.
Second, Jerusalem identifies the prophetic center of the message. Zechariah 12, Joel 3, Ezekiel 38 and 39, and many other passages place Jerusalem and Israel at the center of the events that lead toward the Day of the LORD.
Third, the words "Prepare the harvest" point directly toward the Church's assignment. The harvest concerns people. It concerns repentance, the gospel, discipleship, prayer, witness, and readiness. The command tells me that the closing work of the Church age must be treated with urgency.
Fourth, the trumpet like repetition of the message through every dream speaks to announcement. Scripture repeatedly uses the trumpet as a signal for assembly, warning, battle, and divine intervention. The message carried urgency, but it also carried victory.
Finally, I believe this dream points toward the beginning of events that move the world toward Israel's awakening, the gathering of the Church, the rebuilding of the Third Temple, the Tribulation period, and the return of Jesus Christ.
Prepare the Harvest
The message I received was direct. Prepare the harvest.
That means preach Jesus. Call people to repentance. Strengthen believers. Teach Scripture. Make disciples. Pray for Israel. Pray for Jerusalem. Prepare people to stand faithfully as pressure increases. Reach the lost while the door remains open.
Matthew 24:14 says the gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all nations, and then the end will come. Luke 21:36 commands believers to watch and pray. Revelation 22:20 closes with the Church's cry for the return of Jesus.
Jerusalem was the location. Fire was the writing. The message was the harvest. And the command was to prepare it.
