Afghanistan Dream

This memory surfaced on my social media today—a dream I had nearly 10 years ago, on November 29th, 2016.
In the dream, I was back in the Army, standing in formation for a uniform inspection. My platoon sergeant walked down the line and suddenly stopped at me. I realized in that moment that my enlistment had long been over, yet I was still standing there, free, as if I still belonged to that unit.
He told us the unit was preparing to deploy to Afghanistan.
I asked if there was any way to reenlist.
He replied, “I’m afraid not.”
Then I heard the soldier next to me say, “The Army is all I have. I don’t know what I’d do without it.”
And I woke up.
I posted that dream on this exact day in 2016.
Today, nearly a decade later, it resurfaced in my Memories.
What makes this unsettling is what happened three days ago, the day before Thanksgiving. Two Afghan nationals opened fire on our National Guard troops in Washington, D.C. One American soldier was killed, and another was critically wounded.
I am not saying this dream is directly connected to that event.
But I am saying this:
I have learned there are no coincidences with God.
Dreams do not resurface by accident.
Timing is never random.
Patterns in Scripture and prophecy always serve as warnings before a greater shaking.
Whether this dream was a prelude, a prophetic echo, or a sign that something larger is now in motion, I cannot say with absolute certainty. But what I do know is this:
We are entering a season where hidden threats will surface, foreign entanglements will return to the forefront, and America will face situations we are not prepared for.
These kinds of events often appear as small sparks before a much larger fire.
And when old dreams resurface, especially ones involving deployment, conflict, and Afghanistan, it may be the Lord drawing attention to something unfolding behind the scenes.
Stay prayerful.
Stay watchful.
And stay grounded in the fear of the Lord.
More is happening in the spiritual and geopolitical realm than most realize.
And sometimes, years in advance, God gives us glimpses of what is coming.

Amen to that. It is true...so very true.
