The Eclipse Sign: Jesus, the Rapture, and the Covenant
The Prophecy in Joel
In Joel 2:30–31, the Word says:“I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth—blood and fire and pillars of smoke. The sun will be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the coming of the great and awesome Day of the Lord.”
This is a prophecy. It is precise. It is measurable. We’ve seen it before. And we’re seeing it again.
On September 7th, 2025—right in the middle of the 40 days of repentance, just days before the Feast of Trumpets and the Day of Atonement—a Blood Moon Lunar eclipse will occur.
In this message, we’ll uncover how this specific sign not only reveals major prophetic confrontations that are coming, but also points directly to Jesus and His imminent return—through prophetic insight you won’t hear anywhere else.
We’ll explore what the Bible teaches about blood moons, how they function as covenant signs, and why this precise moment demands our full attention—specifically as a warning to the churches.
The Moedim: God's Appointed Times
To understand the prophetic importance of a blood moon eclipse, we must go back to the beginning—to the fourth day of Creation.
In Genesis 1:14, God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night;and let them be for signs and seasons, and days and years.”

The word “seasons” here is not about weather. It is the Hebrew word "mo’edim"—meaning God's appointed times. These include the Sabbath and feast days—prophetic rehearsals embedded into creation.
The word “sign” is the Hebrew word אוֹת (oth), referring to a visible covenant mark. It comes from the root ’uwth, meaning to designate or mark.

In pictographic Hebrew, Aleph–Vav–Tav form the word "oth":- Aleph (Ox): Strength, leadership, sacrifice.- Vav (Nail): Connection, covenant binding.- Tav (Cross): The mark or seal of the agreement.
This sequence shows how God communicates covenant—a literal transaction between Heaven and Earth.
Every time God gives an "oth" in Scripture, He is confirming a covenant: from Noah’s rainbow, to Israel’s deliverance, to Jesus the Messiah.
Jesus and the Sign of the Covenant

The word "Oth" doesn’t just mean covenant—it reveals Jesus.
- Aleph: The beginning (Alpha), the Ox, the servant-leader.-
Vav: The nail—Jesus is referred to as the
“Son of Man” over 80 times in the Gospels.-
Tav: The cross—the seal of the covenant.
Jesus carried the cross like the Aleph.
He was pierced like the Vav.
He died on the Tav—the cross itself.
On the day of His crucifixion, the sun was darkened (Luke 23:44) , and a great earthquake shook the land as the temple veil tore in two.
The sign—the "Oth"—was fulfilled in Jesus.

Blood Moon on Elul 14: A Dividing Line

The eclipse on September 7th, 2025, falls on Elul 14—the midpoint of Teshuvah, the 40-day season of repentance before Yom Kippur.
Elul 14 marks twenty days after the call to return and twenty days before the verdict is sealed. This date splits repentance from judgment.
In Scripture, the number 14 (7x2) means confirmation and decision.
It’s also the day the Passover lamb was to be killed—and the same day Jesus, the Lamb of God, was crucified.
According to historical sources and biblical chronology, Jesus died on Nisan 14—on or around April 3rd, 33 A.D.
The Meaning of 82: Pey and Bet

The September 7th eclipse lasts 82 minutes.
In Hebrew, 82 = Pey (80) and Bet (2):- Pey means mouth—God is speaking.- Bet means house, referring to the household of God, and division.
Peter said, “Judgment begins at the house of God” (1 Peter 4:17).
Ezekiel 9:4 describes a mark (Tav) being placed on the foreheads of the righteous. This mark protected them when judgment came.
Only two times in Scripture is the word Tav used—showing how rare and serious this sign is.
Jesus, that's Tav. He is the seal, the protection, the covenant mark.
Sunday and the Sign of Separation
This eclipse falls not just on Elul 14, but on a Sunday.
Sunday represents:- Resurrection: Jesus rose on the first day of the week.- Redemption: New creation, eternal life.- Judgment: The day the institutional church replaced God’s feasts with pagan holidays.
So this blood moon is both a sign of salvation and of separation . A dividing line between those marked by Jesus and those walking in apostasy.
Conclusion: The Eclipse and the Covenant
So what does this all mean?
- 82 minutes = Pey + Bet: God is speaking to His house.- Elul 14 = Midpoint of Teshuvah: A prophetic dividing line.- Sunday = Resurrection + apostasy.
The eclipse is a sign—an “Oth”—declaring that judgment and salvation are coming.
Jesus is the Aleph, Vav, and Tav:-
Aleph: Beginning, strength, sacrifice.-
Vav: Nail, Son of Man.-
Tav: The seal, the cross.
Judgment begins with the house of God. And this sign in the heavens confirms it.

Yes the signs are unfolding, right before our eyes. Birth pains, I believe, have begun. We know Jesus will come again and the Angels in Heaven are preparing for God's children...as the time draws near. No man knows the hour in which He will come, but the signs indicate that that time is drawing near.
I do not know about anyone else, but it scares me sometimes and makes me sad, yet excited that it will all be over and we will be home.
"I weep for all those who will not join me in Heaven, as many will not". and I felt the deep hurt and sadness in His heart when He told me this.
